Hero MotoCorp's Record-Breaking Festive Season Sales

Hero MotoCorp, India’s leading two-wheeler manufacturer, has achieved its highest-ever retail sales during the festive season, selling over 14 lakh units in a 32-day period. This remarkable milestone was reached between the first day of Navratras and Bhai Dooj on November 15, marking a significant 19% growth compared to the previous year’s sales.

Surpassing Previous Records

The company surpassed its previous highest retail sales of 12.7 lakh units, which was achieved during the festive period of 2019. Hero MotoCorp attributes this success to robust demand across rural markets and consistent retail uptake in key urban areas.

Driving Growth Factors

Niranjan Gupta, CEO of Hero MotoCorp, credits the achievement to a strong portfolio of brands, expansive distribution network, and strategic new launches throughout the year. These factors collectively contributed to driving growth across various regions.

Rural Market Resurgence

The festive season’s performance also indicates a resurgence in rural market growth, which is a positive sign not only for the company but also for the entire two-wheeler industry. The CEO highlighted that this rural growth trend bodes well for the country’s economic outlook.

Regional Performance

Ranjivjit Singh, Chief Business Officer (India Business Unit) at Hero MotoCorp, highlighted the strong customer traction across different markets, with notable double-digit growth in Central, North, South, and East zones. This diverse regional performance contributed significantly to the overall record-breaking retail numbers.

Inventory Management

Singh also mentioned that the robust retail sales have led to a reduction in post-festive channel inventory to its lowest level in over three years. This efficient inventory management positions Hero MotoCorp on a steady growth trajectory for the remainder of the fiscal year, reflecting the company’s strategic focus on sustainable growth and market responsiveness.
